The AKC Pointing Breed Hunt Test Seminar was well attended yesterday at Cabela's in Scarborough, Maine. AKC Field Representative Gary Sadler flew in from Tennessee to spend a full day teaching the group all the rules and finer details about what abilities judges are looking for to qualify dogs in hunt tests. The Central Maine Brittany Club sponsored the seminar including a delicious lunch that was catered by Cabela's. We enjoyed seeing some of our friends from the Central New England Brittany Club and the Northern New England Brittany Club. Several participants are on their way to apprenticing as new judges this spring and some veteran judges earned requalification.
Here is a look ahead at what the Central Maine Brittany Club has planned for 2017.

Thanks to Pam Jackson for organizing this fun event. A perfect way to prepare for hunting season and show off the club's new clay target thrower. CMBC members enjoyed a nice warm fall day at the Maine Bird Dog Field Trial Grounds in Fryeburg, Maine. This is the Central Maine Brittany Club's first skeet shoot. It was open to everyone regardless of experience. The club hopes to bring this event back every year. It's a great way to keep in touch with other members of the club. Your dog's need training and so do you!
