Thanks to all the folks who turned out for the weekend field trial on Saturday May 27 and Sunday May 28. The CMBC very much appreciates those who make a long trip from point south to join us.

Mosquitoes were out in force but the partially cloudy weather kept the temperatures in check so dogs and handlers were not as warm as last year.

We were very fortunate to have many volunteers including a new bird planter that made the work go a lot easier. Our Saturday dinner social was professionally catered by Frank Bonisch this year which got rave reviews. 

There were lots of puppies in attendance this year so the puppy stakes were back.  Other stakes were Derby, Gun Dog and Walking Hunting Dog. The course is...

If you are using a Garmin Astro or Garmin Alpha tracking system, be advised that the collars for these systems operate on the same MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) frequencies used by logging trucks for monitoring road traffic.

These collars create audible interference on truck radios that are within range of a collar operating on the same MURS frequency (i.e. channel). The first four frequencies (channels 1-4) are used primarily for monitoring road traffic with each road system in the NMW region being assigned a specific MURS channel.
